Day 1: Transfer to Fort portal and Amabere Caves

After breakfast, get yourself ready to hit the road to Fort Portal. The first stopover will be made in Mubende town for a quick snack and buying refreshments. Proceed again to Fort Portal for lunch and then to the Amabere Ga’nyinamwiru Caves. With the help of a local guide, you will trail down the caves for spectacular views. While there, you will be able to sight caves with the stunning stalactites and stalagmites with the milky substances within and scenic water falls adjacent.

Day 2: Transfer to Semlik and explore Sempaya Hot springs

After breakfast, you will hit the road to Semliki national park its about 2-3 hours drive to reach the Sempaya hot springs. At the springs, you will witness water boiling it’s self-using the natural forces. The strength and hotness of the springs are amazing as one can boil eggs and matooke in a few minutes, its ready to eat. Return you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Visit the Crater Lakes and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, you will visit the crater Lakes in fort portal. One of the famous craters lakes in Uganda is Nyinambuga crater lake whose photo is engraved on the twenty thousand Uganda shillings note (20,000), others include Lyantonde and Rukwanzi Crater Lake and Kyaninga crater lake a small crater lake with the most fascinating breathtaking features. After exploring the crater lakes, meet your driver guide; connect back to the lodge, have lunch and check-out then you will be transferred to Kibale forest national park as you enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape. Arrive in the evening and connect to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi nature walk

After an early breakfast, head over to Kibale Forest Headquarters and get a briefing on the day’s activity. With a ranger guide, you will venture into the jungle in search of the chimpanzees and while tracking, you will be able to spot different animal species like the Red Colobus, Black and white Colobus, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, Red-tailed Monkey, and L’Hoest’s Monkey among others and different bird species. You will spend one hour with the chimpanzees as you watch them play, feed and groom each other. In the afternoon visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a nature walk, rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery, the wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species hosting eight species of primates including the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Later you can enjoy a walk to the “top of the world” along crater lakes which this area is also famous for crater lakes view and the mountains of the moon.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe

After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and embark on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with an en-route lunch. You will be dropped at a location of your choice or at Entebbe international Airport for your outbound flight.
