
Uganda is currently responding to the Ebola situation through strong public health measures led by the Ministry of Health. Efforts include intensified screening, contact tracing, public awareness campaigns, and strengthened surveillance systems to monitor and control the spread of the disease.
The effects on tourism are currently more related to traveler concerns and precautionary measures rather than a complete shutdown of activities. Health checks at airports, borders, and some tourism facilities may be increased to maintain safety and public confidence.
Tourism activities across Uganda continue to operate, including wildlife safaris, gorilla trekking, and visits to national parks. Uganda continues to work towards ensuring the safety of residents and visitors while remaining open to travelers exploring the Pearl of Africa.
