Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe


Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by a Ganyana safari driver/guide who will transfer you to your overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Birding and Photography in Entebbe


Your first full day in Uganda will be dedicated to birding and photography around the Entebbe area, including visits to the Botanical Gardens and the Uganda Wildlife Education Center. While exploring these locations, you will have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of bird species.

Day 3: Birding in Mabamba and Transfer to Lake Mburo


In the morning, you’ll embark on a birding expedition to Mabamba Swamp, known for its remarkable birdlife. After your birding adventure, you’ll journey to Lake Mburo National Park, making a stop at the equator for lunch.

Day 4: Birding and Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo


Your day begins with a morning of birding and game viewing in Lake Mburo National Park, where you may spot various bird species and wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Mburo, searching for the African Finfoot among other aquatic bird species.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel


Today, you’ll depart Lake Mburo after breakfast for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, savor the stunning scenery and have opportunities for birdwatching. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll get up close to hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of water birds.

Day 6: Full-Day Photography and Birding

Day 7: Ishasha Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Day 9: Birding in Ruhija Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park


Begin your day with breakfast and then head to Ruhija, known for its abundant birdlife. Spend the day birdwatching and look out for species such as Temminck’s Courser, Martial Eagle, and more. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 10: Drive to Mgahinga National Park through Echuya Forest


After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to Mgahinga National Park, passing through Echuya Forest, a tropical rainforest known for its birdwatching opportunities. Spend the day birding in the area, looking out for various bird species. Later, head to the bamboo belt and the tall montane forest, where you may spot the Rwenzori Turaco and other bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer Back to Entebbe
