Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe


On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your Ganyana Safaris driver-guide will meet and greet you, then transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Entebbe. You will receive a detailed briefing about your 17-day Uganda nature and wildlife safari.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and Boat Cruise


After breakfast, start your scenic journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Along the Mpigi-Masaka highway, you will make a stopover at the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping. You will then continue to Mbarara town for lunch before proceeding to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most beautiful and relaxing destinations.

On arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. You may also choose to swim at the lodge as you relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the lake.

Day 3: Nature Walk and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park


After an early breakfast, head out for a guided nature walk around Lake Bunyonyi. Your guide will share interesting stories about the lake, its islands, and the way of life of the communities living around it.

You will then have lunch en route as you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the remaining mountain gorillas. Later, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience that introduces you to their traditional way of life, dances, and storytelling. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park


Today is the long-awaited gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the mountain gorillas, one of the world’s most gentle and impressive primates. The trek may be short or long depending on the movement of the gorillas, but the experience of seeing them in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable.

After the trek, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive in the Ishasha plains before continuing to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel


Enjoy a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may see wildlife such as Uganda kob, Defassa waterbuck, buffaloes, elephants, giant forest hogs, oribi, lions, leopards, and various bird species.

After lunch, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The boat cruise offers beautiful views of hippos, birds, and other wildlife along the water. Later, visit the Baboon Cave before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park


After breakfast, continue through the beautiful undulating highlands of southwestern Uganda as you head toward the green and scenic Fort Portal area. You will have lunch in Fort Portal before proceeding to your lodge near Kibale Forest National Park.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge before dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Semuliki National Park


After an early breakfast, you will attend a briefing before heading into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale is one of the best places in Africa to see chimpanzees and is home to many other primate species.

The guided walk offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about chimpanzees, other primates, and the forest ecosystem. Later, transfer to Semuliki National Park and proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Explore Sempaya Hot Springs and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park


After breakfast, visit the famous Sempaya Hot Springs in Semuliki National Park. These hot springs are one of the park’s most fascinating attractions, with naturally boiling water that can cook eggs and matooke within minutes.

After the visit, have lunch en route and continue to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Nile Boat Cruise and Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park


After an early breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge. Along the way, you may see Nile crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of bird species.

You will also visit the top of the falls and enjoy the powerful sight of the Nile plunging 43 meters below. After lunch, go for an evening game drive in the northern sector of the park, where you may see buffaloes, antelopes, lions, elephants, and many more wildlife species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park


Wake up to a hot cup of coffee or tea before starting your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. You will have lunch en route, then continue to your lodge.

On arrival, check in and spend the evening at leisure as you admire the beautiful wilderness. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 11: Full Day in Kidepo Valley National Park


After breakfast, head out for a rewarding game drive through Kidepo Valley National Park. Explore the open savannah, rocky outcrops, forests, and mountain landscapes. You will drive toward Kanangorok Hot Springs, with opportunities to see wildlife such as lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, and antelopes.

After lunch and relaxation at the lodge, head out for a cultural visit to the Karamojong community. This experience introduces you to their unique culture, traditional dressing, cooking, dancing, and everyday way of life. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Game Drive and Cultural Visit in Matheniko


After an early morning game drive, continue to Matheniko Game Reserve, which is home to a respectable collection of wildlife including antelopes and predators.

After lunch, visit the local community and explore the rock paintings. Later, proceed to your lodge in Moroto District for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Game Drive in Pian Upe and Transfer to Sipi Falls


Rise early for breakfast, then transfer to Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve for a game drive. The reserve offers opportunities to see rare wildlife such as cheetahs, ostriches, roan antelopes, and many bird species.

Later, transfer to Sipi Falls, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Explore Sipi Falls


Today you will explore Sipi Falls, a beautiful series of three waterfalls on the slopes of Mount Elgon. You may enjoy guided walks around the falls and surrounding landscapes.

The hikes around Sipi offer breathtaking views across Lake Kyoga, the Karamoja plains, and the slopes of Mount Elgon. This is a wonderful day for nature, photography, and relaxation.

Day 15: Transfer to Jinja


After breakfast, drive to Jinja, located in eastern Uganda. At the Source of the Nile, enjoy a boat ride and get the chance to see the mighty River Nile, the longest river in Africa, beginning its journey toward the Mediterranean Sea.

Later, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Explore the Source of the Nile and Transfer to Entebbe

Day 17: Departure
