The Kalooli, also known as the Marabou Stork, is one of Uganda’s most distinctive birds. It is commonly found around wetlands, open grasslands, towns and other areas where it can find food. Although it may not be considered a beautiful bird, the Kalooli plays an important environmental role as a natural scavenger, feeding on dead animals and organic waste and helping keep the environment cleaner.
